Lucky Horse Sitting provides professional, personable and reliable care for horses, farm animals and pets. I focus on consistency, communication and trust, taking the time to understand each animal’s individual needs and maintain their usual routines while you’re away.

Care can be tailored to suit your property and animals, from once, twice or three times-daily visits through to overnight stays and regional or out-of-area care.

Keeping animals in their own environment allows them to remain comfortable and settled while you’re away, with their usual diet, routines and surroundings maintained. For horses and other animals that thrive on consistency, familiar care can make all the difference.

Services within 40 km of Nerang on the Gold Coast include return travel. For properties outside this area, or for care requirements not listed on the website, please submit an enquiry and I’ll be happy to discuss your options.

  • All new clients begin with a required Meet & Greet. This gives us the opportunity to meet in person, walk through your property, get to know your animals and discuss their individual routines and requirements before your booking begins.

    Following the Meet & Greet, I’ll confirm your personalised quote and care plan.

    Meet & Greets are required to secure your requested dates, so we recommend arranging yours as early as possible. Your preferred dates can be provisionally held while we arrange your Meet & Greet.

  • From $70 per visit

    Perfect for owners who don't require overnight care, with visits tailored to your animals' usual routines and requirements.

    A standard visit is best suited to 1–3 horses and includes:

    • Hay, hard feed and fresh water

    • Medication as directed

    • Rug changes according to weather and condition

    • General health and wellbeing checks

    • Treatment of minor cuts, grazes and abscesses

    • Hose down on hot days

    • Suncream and fly spray where required

    • Complimentary carrots

    • Regular photo and message updates

    • Farrier and veterinary coordination where required

    • Emergency preparedness and prompt communication if something is wrong

    Visits can also include feeding, fresh water, medication and general wellbeing checks for dogs, cats, birds and other farm animals.

    Standard visits are available once, twice or three times daily, with flexible scheduling to suit your animals' routines.

    Additional time can be added where required.

  • From $170 per night

    Stay in your home while you're away, providing reliable overnight presence and care for your horses, pets and property. Overnight stays are individually tailored to your animals, routines and household requirements.

    An overnight stay includes:

    • Guaranteed overnight presence between 7pm–5am

    • Morning and afternoon Standard Care Visits for horses, farm animals and pets

    • Care for indoor pets while you are away

    • An 8pm night check

    • Feeding, watering, rug changes, medication and other routine care as required

    • Regular photo and message updates

    • Prompt communication should any concerns arise

    Overnight stays are limited and must be booked in advance.

    Additional care or time outside the standard inclusions can be arranged where required.

  • Lucky Horse Sitting offers professional bathing and grooming for your horse. Services can be added to your regular daily care visits or booked as standalone appointments.

    Show Ready Bath

    A full-body wash from head to hoof, including detangling of the mane and tail, nourishing shampoo and condition, coat care and hoof oil, all supplied by me. Optional purple toning treatment and special attention for common issues such as itch or greasy heel. Plaits and a tail trim are also included if desired.

    From $100 as a standalone service for one horse, Includes call-out fee for travel. Additional horses From $50

    From $50 when added to a daily care visit.

    Discounts available for multiple horses and regular bookings.

  • Regional & Out-of-Area Stays

    For clients with properties outside the Gold Coast or larger equine operations, our Regional & Out-of-Area Stay provides a fully dedicated care experience for your horses, pets and property.

    Available across Queensland and New South Wales, this service is designed for larger properties, equine operations and owners who require dedicated care while they are away.

    The service includes:

    • Return travel of up to 8 hours from the Gold Coast

    • Morning and afternoon horse care, with approximately 3 hours of dedicated care during each visit

    • Dedicated onsite care, with you as my exclusive client for the duration of my stay

    • Care for indoor pets and farm animals

    • A phone consultation and pre-departure visit to go through routines, requirements and your personalised care plan

    • Regular communication and updates throughout your stay

    From $450 per day. Final pricing is based on travel, number of animals, property requirements and level of care. Spaces are limited.
