Hi, I’m Lela, the founder of Lucky Horse Sitting.

Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with horses and now dedicate myself full-time to their care, working closely with everything from top-level performance horses to beloved backyard companions. This experience has taught me not only how to meet each horse’s unique needs but also how much trust it takes to leave your animals in someone else’s care.

I founded Lucky Horse Sitting in 2021 to provide equestrians with peace of mind, allowing them to take a real break — whether a weekend away, a family trip, or some well-earned downtime — knowing their animals are receiving attentive, professional care.

I hold a Certificate II in Equine Husbandry and am currently completing my Bachelor of Veterinary Technology to deepen my knowledge and expertise. My skills go beyond typical grooming to include stable management, medication administration, groundwork, injury and lameness assessment, and foal handling — all backed by the professionalism and attention to detail developed through years in hospitality and business ownership.

With a background in premium hospitality, I understand the importance of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. At Lucky Horse Sitting, I ensure your animals receive calm, capable, and compassionate care tailored to their individual needs, treating them as if they were my own.
